Renovation of a fire / police facility in Redmond, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
All bids shall be submitted following the instructions outlined in Section 00 101 15. The bid opening will be held via Microsoft Teams Live Event, Prior to the bid opening, the link to the webcast will be provided on BXWA and the City's website at redmond.gov/bids (in the bid item for this project). All items in the Bidding Checklistsection of the specifications shall be included with the bid submittals. The Work to be performed shall include but is not limited to: The addition of gutters to existing awnings and connections to storm drainage systems: the demolition and replacement of exterior siding, waterproofing, sheet metal flashing and trim on exterior walls and soffits; the removal and reinstallation of aluminum windows to accommodate waterproofing as indicated on the plans. All physical work shall be completed in the time specified in Section 00 10 40. Architect's Estimate for this work is between $1,000,000 to $1,100,000. Question Deadline 02/07/2025 This project has a mandatory apprentice utilization requirement of 15% in accordance with City of Redmond ordinance 3159 and Redmond Municipal Code 15.28. All contractors must meet the requirements as stated in Section 00 73 43 of these special provisions. Bidders may contact the Department of Labor & Industries, Apprenticeship Section, to obtain information on available apprenticeship programs. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid deposit m the form of a certified or cashier's check or surety bid bond made payable to the City of Redmond, for a sum not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of such bid including sales tax, and all listed additives and alternates. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bid or in the bidding process, and make the award as deemed to be in the best interest of the City. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
