Reference Number 0000374797 Bid Intent Not Available The Town of Cedaredge is located in the Upper Surface Creek Area at a comfortable elevation above 6,000 feet on the south slope of the Grand Mesa in Delta County, Colorado. It is known as the gateway to the Grand Mesa because it enjoys direct access via the Grand Mesa Scenic Byway, Colorado State Highway 65 that runs through the middle of the Town. Cedaredge serves about 2,500 residents plus a larger surrounding community and owns-operates a municipal golf course. The Public Works Department provides services relative to transportation (roads and bridges), facilities (buildings), parks and recreation, water treatment system, and wastewater treatment system. The recently completed 2024 Master Plan will help guide future infrastructure capital planning. The Town of Cedaredge seeks a qualified and experienced firm to serve as the Town Engineer and provide the following professional services on an as-needed basis: Serves in the capacity as Town Engineer and represents the Town Administrator in all applicable engineering matters, as requested and on an as-needed basis. Works closely with Public Works, as needed, on traffic analysis, construction design and specifications (roads, bridges, water collection/treatment/distribution, wastewater collection/treatment), cost estimating, construction management, development and application of Public Works Standards, long-term asset management planning and comprehensive cost analysis, budgeting, etc. Works closely with Community Development (Land Use/Planning), as needed, and provide review of subdivision related engineering, water resources, floodplain and drainage plans in compliance with Town Regulations and Standards; reviews and provides acceptance of completed subdivision improvements. The Town is separately seeking professional services for Asset Management Planning, beginning with an inventory of water, wastewater and road infrastructure in 2025. The Town Engineer will likely be working with the Town to develop plans and future bids for the infrastructure maintenance plans that the asset inventory/management plan lays out. A list of current Town projects involving engineering services includes but is not limited to; Mesa Point Planned Unit Development, Deer Trail Bridge Replacement, Safe Routes to School Sidewalk Project-Phase 1, Wastewater Treatment Plant Permit Requirements, Water Treatment Plant Roof Replacement. The successful Town Engineer may be asked to provide support to other engineering project management services. Successful Consultant shall enter into a Professional Services Agreement with the Town of Cedaredge for a period beginning April 1, 2025.
