The purpose of this RFP is to solicit vendor proposals for the supply and installation of overhead transverse bracing sufficient to stabilize those shelving ranges that currently have no bracing. Scope includes the following four (4) areas: Area 1: Robarts Library, 9th floor Area 2: Robarts Library, 10th floor Area 3: Robarts Library, 12th floor Area 4: Robarts Library, 13th floor This RFP includes floorplans for each floor identifying the number and layout of all existing shelving on each floor and: Where there is already existing bracing. The type of bracing, if existing. Where there is no existing bracing. Please refer to the following two (2) files attached to this RFP: Robarts Library - Stacks Bracing_Current Layout_Floors 9, 10, 12, 13.PDF Robarts Library - Stacks Bracing_Current Layout_Floors 9, 10, 12, 13.DWG Shelving is arranged in three main sections on each floor. Range size varies from 6 double-sided bays on the outer edges of each section to 15 double-side bays towards the centre of each section. Supplier shall, at its sole cost and expense, take out and keep in full force and effect at all times during the Term, with an insurer acceptable to the University: occurrence based comprehensive commercial general liability insurance with a limit in an amount of not less than $2,000,000 per occurrence.
