Montgomery County, Ohio, is requesting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) for PP-2025-0014 - Montgomery County Jail AHU & System Controls Replacement. The scope of this project includes complete professional design services, permit submission, and construction administration/observation services for the replacement of air handling units (AHU's) 2,4,5,7&8 and all environmental controls for building wide function in the Montgomery County Jail. This project shall produce a fully updated and functional HVAC and controls systems to modernize the air handling capabilities of the County's Jail Additionally, this project includes complete professional design services, permit submission, and construction administration/observation services for the full and complete replacement of the Jails addressable fire alarm system. This project shall produce a fully updated and functional addressable fire alarm system to provide critical life safety functions for the building. Montgomery County Ohio is accepting Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) from highly experienced and professional architectural/engineering (A/E) firms to conduct an existing-conditions survey, program development, design formulation, development of plans and specifications, and assist in construction administration and observation for the Montgomery County Jail AHU & System Controls Replacement. Qualifications received may be retained in a file maintained by the Owner for design professional qualifications unless the firm specifically requests not to be included in this file; each firm is requested to provide annual updates to the qualifications to keep them current. The file may be used for projects or design needs for which design fees are estimated to be less than $50,000.00. Prior to selection, Montgomery County reserves the right to interview candidates that have met the submission criteria. Registered Professional Engineer credentials are required and must be presented at the time your SOQ is submitted. If this requirement is not met and clearly identified in the SOQ, your SOQ will be considered non-responsive. The selected firm will be required to complete the items in the SCOPE OF WORK contained in the Main Documents. 1.2. PROJECT SUMMARY The purpose of this Request for Qualifications is to procure Professional Design Services from qualified Engineering firms for the Montgomery County Facilities. STATEMENT AND CONTACT INFORMATION This Quality-Based Selection for Professional Design Services will follow the procedures set forth in Montgomery County Resolution 20-0510, dated May 5, 2020, to ensure compliance with Ohio Revised Code Sections 153.65 to 153.71. Professional design firms are invited to submit statements of qualifications (SOQ) consistent with the procedure included in this request. Any firm that does not submit all requested information and documents by the deadline identified may not be considered further. The Owner reserves the right to waive any defect or technicality in any SOQ received or to eliminate any firm that submits an incomplete or inadequate SOQ or that is not responsive to the requirements of this RFQ.
