The City experiences transients in their distribution system that lead to waterline breaks and is looking for improvement options to reduce said transients. The project will include the following: 1. Review of the City's Transient Modeling and Surge Mitigation study and confirmation of results/recommendations as needed. 2. Analysis of various types/sizes of surge tanks and locations that optimize performance and provide the most relief of transients in the distribution system. 3. Design of the selected surge tank and other respected design work needed such as a site plan, SWPPP, building plan, utility plan, etc. The professional services needed under this request for qualifications are engineering design services. This may include, but is not limited to, development and evaluation of alternatives, preparation of cost estimates, surveying, preparation of detailed construction plans and specifications, utility coordination, obtaining regulatory approvals, and assistance for the acquisition of property or easements.
