The work consists of furnishing approximately 70,000 tons of Hot Mix Asphalt. Materials purchased are intended to be used on the following projects funded by Fond du Lac County and/or the Wisconsin Local Road Improvement Program (LRIP): Project Total CTH E (V. Fairwater to Carter Road) CTHT (CTH K to CTH W) LRIP- CHI HMA PURCHASE CTH G (CTH WH to CTH HH) CTH WH (CTH W to CTH G) Estimated Miscellaneous Total Tons 9,450 23,455 18,355 18.377 1.000 70.637 Bidders must furnish Hot Mix Asphalt Material and follow all procedures such as testing and corrective action as specified in the State of Wisconsin, Department of Transportation, Standard Specifications for Highway and Structure Construction most recent Edition and the Special Provisions provided with the bid documents. Limits and estimated tonnage of any projects listed may change depending on scope and unit prices received. Projects may be added deleted pending budget and scheduling. Materials will also be used on miscellaneous projects and maintenance programs throughout the County. Bidders shall be experienced in this type of work and be listed on the current Wisconsin Department of Transportation Prequalified Contractor list or be prequalified with the Fond du Lac County Highway Department y Department no later than 5 days pric to the bid opening. Prequalification forms are available in the bid documents. Fond du Lac County encourages bids from bidders with permanent or portable plants set up within economical trucking distance from the planned projects. Bidders may bid on all or a portion of the projects s or quantities listed. Total tonnage awarded may be split between suppliers and awards will be based on individual project needs, ds, plant location, availability of plant, provisions within the Special Provisions and unit bid price.
