The project is expected to be awarded on April 15th.** The Bay County Board of County Commissioners (County) seeks bids from qualified vendors to furnish all engineering, permitting, labor, materials, equipment, temporary systems, documentation, installation, training, and startup services for the replacement of the existing 5,500-gallon sulfuric acid tank, the chemical feed equipment and associated piping at the Bay County Water Treatment Plant (WTP). The Bay County Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all proposals in the best interest of Bay County. Estimated budget is $150,000.00. Question Submission Deadline : February 14, 2025, 5:00pm Scope The "Work" under this Specification includes the furnishing of all engineering, permitting, labor, materials, equipment, temporary systems, documentation, installation, training, and startup services for the replacement of the existing 5,500- gallon sulfuric acid tank, the chemical feed equipment and associated piping at the Bay County Water Treatment Plant (WTP). The tank has its own concrete containment, and the containment area is rated for 5,518 gallons. As part of the work, the Contractor shall install a chemical resistant coating on the interior of the containment. The chemical feed equipment shall be installed in its own building adjacent to the containment. The Work shall be done in such a manner that the WTP continuously feeds sulfuric acid by setting up a temporary system(s) to feed this chemical while the work is being performed. The Work is to be done at the Bay County WTP located at 3400 Transmitter Road, Panama City, Florida 32404. Bay County (the "Owner") shall designate Sean Lathrop as the Owner's Project Manager and main point of contact @ (850) 630-1954 for the following with regard to this project: (1) Coordination of pre-bid site visit(s); (2) Directions to the facility; and (3) To act as the Owner's Project Manager which includes approval authority for the required submittals, arrange for access to the site to coordinate the on-site Work, and issue final acceptance of the system. 1.2.
