The Project generally consists of constructing sludge lagoons for theOuachita Water Treatment Plant inHot Springs. The work embraced within these Contract Documents consists of furnishing all materials, labor, tools, supplies, and equipment to fully construct to the satisfaction of the Owner the following major elements of work for the Ouachita Water Treatment Plant Lagoons. 1. Clearing access 2. Trenching for Pipeline (widths will vary) 3. Installation of Pipeline 4. Backfilling of trenches and restoration of all altered objects 5. Connecting proposed 12-inch pipeline to existing water line. A performance and payment bond written by a responsible suretycompany authorized to do business in Arkansas, in the amount of the contract, will be required onall contracts in excess of $20,000. Bid security in the form of a cashier's check only (relative toother types of checks), drawn ona bank or trust company doingbusiness in Arkansas, or a corporate bid bond in favor of the City of Hot Springs and in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount is required on bids exceeding $20,000 and must be submitted with the bid. For bidsover $20,000, the contractor mustbe properly licensed for this activity prior to submitting a bid and provide proof there of (show State contractor's license no.) with bid. Arkans as prevailing Wage Laws will apply as appropriate. Bidsmay not be withdrawn within 30 days of opening. Bidders must provide with their bid a certificate regarding Equal Employment Opportunity, as applicable.
