Site work and paving for a civil project in Campbell, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The project will consist of milling and profiling to establish a desired cross-slope along with resurfacing of approximately 0.57 miles of existing roadway sections. Pavement cores will be taken to determine the thickness of the proposed pavement. Milling between 0" and 2" will be conducted for each section once the existing pavement thickness has been determined to promote cross-slope correction. The work includes the reconstruction of existing roadway cross-slope to improve drainage characteristics, the adjustment or reconstruction of manholes, catch basins, and water valve boxes located in the street sections. The catch basins will be reconstructed where they are deteriorated and non-functional. Resurfacing of a minimum of 2" new asphalt (leveling course and surface course) will be conducted on all roads. Partial and full depth repair are also included for pavement condition improvements. The following streets are included in the project: Bright Avenue (14th St. to 16th St.), Palmer Avenue (Wilson Ave. to Hickory St.), and Morley Avenue (Wilson Ave. to Hickory St.). Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. The owner intends and requires that this project be completed in 45 calendar days from the notice to proceed. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor s Executive Order of 1972, and the Governor s Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Mahoning County and the City of Campbell, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Bureau of Wage and Hour Administration, 614.644.2239. No bidder shall be considered a competent and responsible bidder or eligible to be awarded the contract to which this Notice applies, if the bidder is listed on the Auditor of State s database as having a Finding of Recovery as that term is defined in O.R.C. 9.24. Bids shall be submitted on forms provided and shall state the Unit Price or Lump Sum as indicated by the blanks provided; therefore and shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope marked on the outside Bright/Palmer/Morley Resurfacing with the contractor s name, address, phone number, email address and contact name. The City of Campbell reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any formalities or irregularities in bidding.
