Each bid is to be submitted on the basis of cash payment for the work and is to be enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to the Finance Director OR submitted at online . Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bidder's Bond in a sum equal to five percent (5%) of the full amount of the bid, executed by the BIDDER as principal and by a surety company authorized to do business in this State or a certified or cashiers check in a sum equal to $50.00, conditioned that if the principal's bid be accepted and the contract be awarded to the BIDDER, the BIDDER will execute and affect a contract in accordance with the terms of the BIDDER'S bid and provide a Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner or a certified or cashier s check in a sum equal to $500.00 The Bid Bond and Contractor's License Renewal Certificate shall be submitted in a separate envelope attached to the outside of the bid envelope. BIDDERS must be licensed for the highest amount of their bid. Each Bid shall be marked on the outside of the envelope, the date of the proposal, the name of the Bidder, and acknowledgment of any Addendums that were received. If any person contemplating submitting a proposal is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the drawings, specifications, or other contract documents, or finds discrepancies in or omissions from the drawings of specifications, he may submit to the Engineer a written request for an interpretation or correction thereof. The person submitting the request will be responsible for its prompt delivery. Any interpretation or correction of the documents will be made only by addendum duly issued and a copy of the addendum will be mailed or delivered to each person receiving a set of the contract documents.
