Question Deadline 02/12/2025 at 4:00 PM ET The work in this Contract includes, but is not limited to: Pavement rehabilitation including milling and overlay Removal of existing pavement Installation of bituminous base and surface course material Removal of and replacement of subgrade material with gravel borrow base course material Driveway reconstruction as required Installation of pavement markings Installation of drain pipe Regrading of drainage grass drainage swale Removal of and replacement of John Dyer Road culvert Installation of erosion controls Safety controls and signing for construction operations All other incidental items included in the contract documents The project will be awarded to a single, lowest, responsive, and responsible bidder. The Time of Completion for this project shall be 50 calendar days from a Contractor's receipt of a Notice to Proceed. All paving shall be completed by Friday, July 4, 2025 unless otherwise approved by the Town. Bid Security: Certified, treasurer's or cashier's check or bid bond in the sum of five (5) percent of the Total Bid is required. Attention of Bidders is particularly referred to the Federal and State requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and wage rates to be paid under the Contract as determined by the Department of Labor and Industries under the provision of Chapters 12 and 13 of Title 37, General Laws of Rhode Island, 1956, as amended. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within Ninety (90) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Owner and Engineer, being considered the sole and only judge, reserves the right to waive any informalities in, or to reject, any or all bids, should the Owner deem it to be in the owner's best interest to do so.
