The general scope of work includes the replacement of existing interior domestic water mains and risers and installation of thermostatic mixing valves at existing plumbing fixtures. The scope of work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment, and other means of construction necessary for completion of the work indicated in the Bid Documents including, but not necessarily limited to, the following: temporary facilities and controls, cutting and patching, selective demolition, unit masonry, penetration firestopping, non-structural metal framing, gypsum plastering, gypsum board, acoustical panel ceilings, interior painting, plumbing valves, hangers and supports for plumbing, plumbing identification, plumbing piping insulation, plumbing piping, and plumbing piping specialties. The work site is located at 385 Winnetka Avenue, Winnetka, IL 60093. The Subcontractors must achieve Substantial Completion for all work on or before Friday, August 15, 2025. Additional project schedule requirements will be included in the Bid Documents. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid made payable to New Trier Township High School District 203. Contractors shall guarantee their submitted Bid Proposal for a ninety (90) day period from the date of Bid Opening. Each successful Subcontractor will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond for 100% of the final Contract Sum. It is anticipated that the contracts will be awarded by the Board of Education at the regular meeting on Monday, March 17, 2025. The Contractor will be required to submit electronic copies of their certified payrolls with each application for payment using the Illinois Department of Labor's Prevailing Wage Portal. The New Trier Township High School District 203 Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, reject nonconforming bids, reject conditional bids, waive irregularities in the bidding procedures, or to accept any bid that, in its sole opinion, best serves the interests of the School District.
