Demolition, site work and new construction of an educational facility in Winnetka, Illinois. The general scope of work includes the second bid period related to interior and exterior renovations and new construction scheduled to commence during the 2025 summer break and continue through 2026 and 2027 at New Trier High School's Winnetka Campus. The general scope of work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment, and other means of construction necessary for completion of the work indicated in the Bid Documents including, but not necessarily limited to, the following: temporary facilities and controls, cutting and patching, interior finish carpentry, interior architectural woodwork, flush wood paneling, plastic paneling, applied fire protection, and ceramic tiling. The work site is located at 385 Winnetka Avenue, Winnetka, IL 60093. On-site construction will commence approximately on Monday, June 9, 2025, dependent on actual school snow days. Additional project schedule requirements and information will be included in the Construction Managers Construction Manual. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid made payable to New Trier Township High School District 203. Contractors shall guarantee their submitted Bid Proposal for a ninety (90) day period from the date of Bid Opening. An AIA A305 Contractor's Qualifications Statement must be submitted at the time of the bid or already be on file with Pepper Construction. Refer to Pepper's Construction Manual for additional requirements. Each successful Subcontractor will be re- quired to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond for 100% of their final Contract Sum. Contractor shall not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under this contract and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). The Contractor will be required to submit electronic copies of their certified payrolls with each application for payment using the Illinois Department of Labor's Prevailing Wage Portal. The New Trier Township High School District 203 Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, reject nonconforming bids, reject conditional bids, waive irregularities in the bidding procedures, or to accept any bid that, in its sole opinion, best serves the interests of the School District.
