Site work and paving for a civil project in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; road / highway; and water / sewer project.

As of February 28, 2025, project has not yet awarded, project is expected to be awarded next week. Nelson Run Public Improvements Bridge No. 2 Replacement This Project involves the removal of an existing bridge crossing Nelson Run and replacement with a CMP elliptical culvert pipe; installation of a custom concrete headwall and endwall; jumbo block installation; sanitary sewer installation; full depth repaving, sealing, guide rail removal and replacement; as well as erosion and sedimentation controls; bypass pumping and water diversion; utility coordination; site preparation and clean-up; restoration, and traffic control. Proposals must be submitted on the forms provided. Proposals to receive consideration must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bidder's Bond from a Surety Company authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, made to the order of Ross Township in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Proposal as a guarantee that, if the Proposal is accepted, the successful Bidder will enter into an Agreement within fifteen (15) days after Notice of the Award of the Contract. This Project will be financed, in part, by a grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Commonwealth Financing Authority. Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rates must be paid on this contract. All contractors that intend to bid on the Contract must attend. All contractors must adhere to Act 127 of 2012 (Public Works Employment Verification Act). No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after the same has been filed with Ross Township. No Bidder may withdraw their Proposal during the sixty (60) day period without forfeiting his Bid guarantee. This scope of the project, in general, consists of the Contractor furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for removal of an existing bridge crossing Nelson Run and replacement with a 117" x 79" CMP elliptical culvert pipe; installation of a custom concrete headwall and endwall; jumbo block installation; removal and replacement existing support walls; sanitary sewer installation; full depth repaving, sealing, and striping of the road as the bridge deck; guide rail removal and replacement; as well as erosion and sedimentation controls; bypass pumping and water diversion; utility coordination; site preparation and clean-up; restoration, and traffic control. The Work to be done under the Contract, as shown on the Plans and Specifications, shall include the furnishing and complete installation of all Materials and any other necessary Work required for proper completion, operation and use of the facilities. All the equipment, Materials and labor that may be necessary to complete the Work and place it in satisfactory operation, implied or intended in the Plans and Specifications, shall be furnished and/or installed by Contractor without extra cost to the Owner. Written or graphic instruments issued prior to the execution of the Contract Agreement that modify, clarify or interpret Contract Documents, Shop Drawings, Plans and Specifications, by additions, deletions, clarifications or corrections. Any person, partnership, firm, corporation, limited liability company, or other business entity submitting a bid for the Work. The offer or proposal for the Bidder submitted on the prescribed form setting forth the prices for the Work to be performed. The titles or headings of the various divisions, sections, paragraphs, subparagraphs or of Shop Drawings, and the Table of Contents and the indexes, as used in any of the Contract Documents are for convenience of reference only and are not intended to limit and shall not be construed as in any way limiting the application of the text.
