The Stormwater Pump Station No. 5 is located at 9140 Sunrise Lakes Boulevard. It services drainage basin No. 5, which is approximately 312 acres and is bounded by Pine Island Road on the east, Nob Hill Road on the west, the South Florida Water Management District C-13 Canal on the north, and Northwest 27th Street on the south. This stormwater pumping station, constructed in 1973, has reached the end of its service life and requires replacement. The City of Sunrise requires a qualified Contractor to demolish the existing station, filling the stilling pond adjacent to it, and constructing the new station. The Contractor shall be responsible for permitting, inspections, furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, dewatering, water, light, power, transportation, superintendence, temporary construction of every nature, and all other services and facilities necessary to construct, deliver and place Stormwater Pump Station No. 5 in operation. The scope of work shall include, but is not limited to, furnish and install three 3-13,000 gallons per minute submersible electric pumps, emergency backup generator, reinforced concrete intake structure and piping, intake channel stabilization and retaining wall system, precast pump chamber, pump discharge piping and precast back flow control structure with pump discharge and install trash-raker system, gravity bypass piping, bypass structures and sluice gate, outfall pipes and headwall, electrical motor control center, telemetry system for remote monitoring and control of the pumps, maintenance boat ramp, parking area, site grading, lighting and fencing. This project is partially funded by Broward County's Mobility Advancement Program and by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.
