Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Sunrise, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; road / highway; road / highway; and water / sewer project.

The Phase 1 project is for roadway culvert replacements and includes three main canal culverts within the northwest quadrant of the Drainage Basin 15. The Phase 2 project is the addition of 48" reinforced concrete pipe (RCP) to supplemental the flow of an existing 42" canal culvert a secondary discharge bypass for the existing 42" RCP culvert. It also includes the addition of five manholes structures, cutting into and connecting to existing street drainage pipe and canal culvert pipes. The Work for this project consists of, but is not limited to, sediment and turbidity control, pollution prevention, clearing and grubbing, maintenance of traffic, canal bypass pumping, temporary steel sheet piling, dewatering, demolition and replacement of existing canal culvert pipe, street drainage pipe and structures, demolition and restoration of pavement, curb and sidewalk, shaping and excavation and grading of the existing canals banks, construction of concrete end walls, construction of filter point grout mat, relocation of existing water main pipe, replacement of existing PVC gravity sewer main piping with ductile iron pipe, cutting into and connecting to existing street drainage pipe and canal culvert pipes, pavement milling and resurfacing, pavement markings, sodding and other miscellaneous and incidental items to provide a complete project as specified in the Contract Documents. Location: The project is located within the 496-acre City of Sunrise Drainage Basin 15, which is bordered on the south by NW 44 th Street, on the north by Commercial Boulevard, on the west by the South Florida Water Management District C-42 Canal and a portion of the Sawgrass Expressway and on the east by Nob Hill Road. The CONTRACTOR shall comply with the maintenance and guarantee bond requirements contained in the CONTRACT. Replacement of earth fill or backfill, where it has settled below the required finish elevations, shall be considered as a part of required maintenance repair work, and any repair or resurfacing constructed by the CONTRACTOR which becomes necessary by reason of such settlement shall likewise be considered as a part of such required repair work. The CONTRACTOR shall make all repairs and replacements within 10 days of receipt of written order from the CITY or ENGINEER. If the CONTRACTOR fails to make such repairs or replacements promptly after written notice, the CITY reserves the right to hire others to do the WORK and the CONTRACTOR and its surety shall be liable to the CITY for the cost thereof. H.
