Qualifications Submittals from firms interested in providing civil/site construction services. Upcoming projects include construction of roadway improvements, stormwater management facilities, utilities, landscaping, irrigation, street lighting, and certain other infrastructure in Sarasota County, Florida. To be eligible to submit qualifications, firms must hold all required applicable local and state licenses in good standing, hold all required applicable federal licenses in good standing, and be authorized to do business in the State of Florida. Qualified firms will be selected based on experience, qualifications of personnel, and ability to perform construction services. Packages will be reviewed and rated by a qualifications committee. All applicants will be promptly notified after the construction firms are selected. The pre qualification decisions of the Board of Supervisors shall be valid for a period of three (3) years, after which the Board of Supervisors may either extend the prequalification period for two (2) additional one (1) year periods or open the prequalification process again. All firms interested in bidding on construction contracts to be let by the DISTRICT are strongly encouraged to submit for pre-qualification. However, the DISTRICT is not obligated to select prequalified firms, and at its sole discretion reserves the right to solicit bids or proposals from non prequalified contractors for specific projects in the best interests of the DISTRICT
