The TDCJ is seeking proposals to install a new HVAC system with connection to emergency power in Inmate Housing at the Terrell Unit in Rosharon, Texas. Question Deadline 02/10/2025 at 3:00 PM CT Estimated Budget: $8,055,500.00 This project is to install new HVAC systems to condition the Main Buildings dorms, gyms, and Ag Seg, including the Trusty Camp Dorms and E Dorm. The new HVAC units at the main buildings dorms and E dorm will be gas fired heating and DX cooling air rotation units with air cooled condensing units. Gas fired rooftop units will be provided for the Gym and Ag. Seg. spaces. Work will include the electrical distribution upgrades to power the new units. Other work will include installation of concrete pads for the outdoor equipment, refrigeration piping between the air units and condensing units, ductwork, replacement of sanitary sewer piping in Ag. Seg. spaces, relocation of exterior toilet, and gas piping to the units furnaces. Split system furnace and coils will also be provided to the Trusty Camp dorms and the Day Room building. A new emergency generator will also be installed at the main building and E dorm to provide power for the new HVAC system in the event main power goes down.
