Renovation of an educational facility in Clinton, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 14,256-square-foot, one-story above grade educational facility.
A. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following 1. The work includes the entirety of the scope identified in the Bid Documents, inclusive of Drawings and Project Manual, for the University of South Carolin - Union, Laurens Campus; FY24 MRR Interior - Union / Laurens Campus Facility Renovations, dated 12/06/2024, including, but not limited to, the following: a. Interior renovations of the two main lobby restrooms in the building identified as "Building F" in the Contract Documents. These renovations include, but are not limited to, the demolition of walls separating the existing toilet stalls, existing toilet fixtures, and floor and wall tile throughout. New construction is to include new toilet fixtures, floor and wall tile, ceiling and grid, new lighting, new toilet compartments and toilet accessories, a new above ceiling hot water heater, and new walls with doors separating restrooms from the main lobby, as well as, any painting of the impacted spaces. b. Interior renovation of the existing kitchen space into a teaching kitchen with new food service equipment, flooring, ceiling, lighting, painting, etc. Work includes the replacement of the HVAC unit, along with new condensing equipment require for the modifications to the walk-in refrigerator and freezer units. c. Electrical distribution to a new main panel in the existing gym building, identified as "Building D" in the Contract Documents. d. Alternates include renovations to the existing gym building to create a boat storage room and the replacement of the fire alarm system in the building identified as "Building F" in the Contract Documents. Interior renovations to main lobby restrooms, existing kitchen into a new teaching kitchen for the HRSM and installation of a new main electrical panel in the exiting gym building. Also includes alternates for the renovation of the gym into a boat storage room and the replacement of the entire fire alarm system in the campus building F. Bids shall be submitted in accordance of hand-delivery or mail service only. Small and Minority business participation is highly encouraged. *The value for this project is based on a financial range of $985,000-$1,185,000. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
