Demolition, site work and new construction of a museum in Coltons Point, Maryland. Completed plans call for the demolition of a museum; for the construction of a museum; for site work for a museum; and 9,450-square-foot, two-story above grade museum.
The St. Mary's County Government, Department of Public Works and Transportation is seeking qualified contractors to provide sealed bids with competitive pricing for the demolition and construction of the St. Clement's Island Museum located in Coltons Point Maryland, in accordance with this Solicitation. Description of the Work: The Project consists of demolishing and constructing the St. Clement's Island Museum at 38370 Point Breeze Road, Colton’s Point, Maryland 20626. A new two-story 9,450 square foot building (4,725 SF on each floor) that will serve as a museum. The new facility will include office space, a meeting/training room, library, museum store, exhibit areas, counter/cabinets/activity room, restrooms, decks (accessible ramp and observational), and ADA accessible facilities. Additional facilities include an elevator, staircases (3 total - one architectural and two egress,) loading dock, site work, landscaping, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, information technology and access control systems, fire suppression systems (exterior tank/pump and pump house), lighting, and humidification control.
