For furnishing the necessary labor and materials, tools, machinery and appliances for: 2025 Maintenance, Transportation, Transportation Offices West Side Masonry Repair Project 6780 SOM Center Road, Solon, OH 44139 Bids for the above-described work must be submitted on forms (or copies thereof) furnished with the bid documents and in accordance with the plans and specifications, dated January 2025, authored by Makarich Structural Engineering, LLC, and Construction Resources, Inc., 33900 Station Street, Solon, OH 44139, Telephone (440) 248-9800. Bids must be addressed to Michael J. Acomb, Director of Business and Personnel, and identify on the outside of the sealed envelope "Bid Documents for the "2025 Maintenance, Transportation, Transportation Offices West Side Masonry Repair Project ". Bids must be delivered to the following location: Solon City Schools 33800 Inwood Road Solon, OH 44139 It is understood and agreed that work embodied in this Contract for the Base Bids and Alternates as awarded shall start on or about May 30, 2025, and be completed no later than August 15, 2025, unless the Owner grants an extension of time. A fee of $1,000.00 per day may be charged for work not completed by August 15, 2025. In addition, The Contractor can be billed $110.00/hr. for all Consulting hours that result as a result of work not completed by August 15, 2025. These Consulting hours may be deducted from the Prime Contractor's contract balance. Each bid must contain the full name of every person or company interested in the same, shall state the price for labor and materials, and must be accompanied by a BID GUARANTEE meeting the requirements of Section 153.571 and 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Each bidder must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, creed, color, sex or national origin. No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. If in the opinion of the Owner, the acceptance of the lowest responsible bid is not in the best interest of all concerned, the Owner may accept another proposal so opened or reject all proposals and advertise for other bids. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids.
