Sealed Bids will be received no later than 12:00 noon local time on the 30th day of January 2025 and will be opened publicly by the Treasurer or Director of Business & Personnel, located at the Solon City School Board Offices at 33800 Inwood Road, Solon, OH 44139 for furnishing the necessary labor and materials, tools, machinery and appliances for: 2025 Solon High Natatorium Restoration Project 32345 Cannon Road, Solon, OH 44139 Bids must be submitted on forms furnished with the bid documents and in accordance with the plans and specifications, dated December 2024, authored by Karpinski Engineering, Makarich Structural Engineering, LLC, and Construction Resources, Inc., 33900 Station Street, Solon, OH 44139, Telephone (440) 248-9800. Bids must be addressed to Michael J. Acomb, Director of Business and Personnel, and identify on the outside of the sealed envelope "Bid Documents for the "2025 Solon High Natatorium Restoration Project". Bids must be delivered to the following location: Solon City Schools 33800 Inwood Road Solon, OH 44139 It is understood and agreed that work embodied in this Contract for the Base Bids and Alternates as awarded shall start on or about March 3, 2025, and be completed no later than August 1, 2025, unless an extension of time is granted by the Owner. A fee of $1,000.00 per day may be charged for work not completed by August 1, 2025. In addition, The Contractor can be billed $110.00/hr. for all Consulting hours that result as a result of work not completed by August 1, 2025. These Consulting hours may be deducted from the Prime Contractor's contract balance Each bid must contain the full name of every person or company interested in the same, shall state the price for labor and materials, and must be accompanied by a BID GUARANTEE meeting the requirements of Section 153.571 and 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Each bidder must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, creed, color, sex or national origin. No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. If in the opinion of the Owner, the acceptance of the lowest responsible bid is not in the best interest of all concerned, the Owner may accept another proposal so opened or reject all proposals and advertise for other bids. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids.
