Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Hudson, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Milling & Paving of 7,000lf+ city streets, as well as 30+ ADA Ramps and 10+ Epoxy Crosswalks. Government Bonds (at par value), or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to 5% of the total of the Bid shall be submitted with each Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project; and, that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, creed, color, religion, sex, or national origin. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding Bids may be held by the Owner for a period not to exceed 45 days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract. Paving o No density testing is required. o 2h-3 requires, "three roller static compaction". Vibratory compaction IS NOT allowed on all streets, and contractor should consider a 12-ton static roller as an acceptable example. o City of Hudson Top Coat Standard IS SUPERPAVE HOT MIX ASPHALT. Milling o Milling may be done in advance of paving on a "street-by-street" basis OR may be completed entirely before paving. However, the maximum time between milling and paving any specific roadway WILL NOT exceed seven (7) calendar days. o City will provide trucks for removal of millings as well as dump site. We have several 10-ton dump trucks that will dump at various sites within the City. MPT o The City of Hudson WILL provide ALL services as they pertain to Maintenance & Protection of Traffic Sweeping o Contractor is responsible for sweeping and cleaning milled surfaces as well as removal of material. Epoxy Reflectorized Pavement Markings o Crosswalk markings shall be consistent with Section 685-3.05 of NYS DOT Standard Specifications. o The epoxy resin, mixed and heated in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations, is uniformly hotsprayed onto the pavement surface at the minimum specified thickness. o Reflective glass spheres are injected into, or dropped onto, the liquid epoxy marking at a minimum rate of 20 lb/gal of epoxy resin. o Crosswalk markings shall be & length x 12" wide with two (2) feet spacing between marks.
