Renovation of a civil project in Pampa, Texas. Working plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
**As of May 16, 2025 , project will rebid. No definite date for the rebid. Bids will be for the Water Utility Generator Project. There will be two (2) Generators; One portable and one permanent, installed at two (2) locations: 1) North Crest Well 2-13 and 2) Pump Station 6. For further information see the Instruction to Bidders section of this RFB. Attendance of the Onsite Pre-Bid Meeting is not required for interested bidders. The City of Pampa will be using the Best Value Bid Method to determine the award of this Water Utility Generator Project. The City will award this bid to the lowest and best responsible bidder which represents the most advantageous bid to the City, price and other factors considered. **Bids will be publicly opened and read at the City Hall - City Commission Chamber, 3 rd Floor, 200 W. Foster, Pampa, Texas. North Crest Well 2-13: . The fixed permanent generator shall be no less than 125kW, diesel driven, standby generator with steel enclosure with a 24hr fuel tank installed at City of Pampa Well 2-13 location as shown in Attachment 1. . Installation of generator and connections shall include all applicable materials and labor for connections including but not limited to conduits, 400A Manual Transfer Switch, and all necessary equipment to make connections at Well 2-13. The transfer switch enclosure shall be NEMA Type 4 and shall be installed adjacent to the main panel disconnect for Well 2-13 and its systems. . Well 2-13 Generator will require a new 12' x 12' concrete pad. The contractor shall be responsible for all labor and materials for placement of the new concrete pad. The location for the new concrete pad shall be coordinated with the City of Pampa prior to installation. . The new concrete pad shall be six (6) inches thick with #4 rebar, 12" o.c. each way. . The concrete shall be 3500psi concrete at the 28-day cure. . The new concrete pad shall have a 12" x 24" deep foundation around the perimeter with four (4) #5 rebar, top and bottom, continuous around the perimeter. . Prior to the construction of the concrete pad, the work area shall be cleared and grubbed no less than three (3) inches below natural grade one foot beyond pad size allowing room for forms. The contractorshall be responsible for backfilling all materials around the concrete pad after completion. . The final elevation of the concrete pad shall be a minimum of three (3) inches above natural grade. The concrete pad shall receive a smooth trowel finish with rounded or chamfered edges. . Conduit and power shall be supplied from generator to power the SCADA system for the EST. Contractor shall relocate existing power supply from the SCADA system on the North Crest Elevated Storage Tower to the main power supply for the chlorine building which will be supplied by the main power supply for Well 2-13. The contractor shall be responsible for all materials, conduit, breakers, and/or panels required for relocation of the SCADA power system. . Conduit and power will be supplied to operate all electrical functions of the chlorine building at well site. The existing power supply for the chlorine building is supplied from the 15kVA transformer located adjacent to the main power panel for Well 2-13. Pump Station . The portable generator shall be no less than 600kW, diesel driven standby generator with steel enclosure and fuel tank installed on a trailer to connect to the City of Pampa Pump Station. The contractor shall provide the trailer required for the transportation of the generator. The generator and trailer are permitted to be purchased as a package unit or as separate pieces of equipment. . Installation of generator and connections will include all applicable materials and labor for connections including conduits, 800A Manual Transfer Switch, 800A, and all necessary equipment to make connections at the Pump Station. . The manual transfer switch shall be between the Xcel service transformer and the 1600A main disconnect on the interior of the building. The transfer switch enclosure shall be NEMA Type 4 and shall be permitted to be installed on the exterior of the building if required.
