The County of Person is requesting proposals from Service Providers/Contractors regarding the Construction of ADA restrooms at the new Rotary Club of Roxboro Centennial Park. The Person County Recreation, Arts, and Parks Department is in the process of developing a 281-acre Outdoor Recreation Park along the Flat River with the main focus being on hiking, mountain biking, and nature watching. The Park System seeks to preserve the County "Farm" as greenspace while creating multi-use trails, ADA-accessible features, and a "Green" Wildlife Observation Park. Bordering the southeast region of Person County, the County "Farm" is located one mile from Durham County, covering 281 acres of planted timber and hardwoods along 1.5 miles of the Flat River. The Plan is to preserve the County "Farm" and to put the "Farm" to use in offsetting stormwater runoff and nutrient loads attributed to the County as required by State stormwater rules. The development of this County Farm to a Park will includes: 30+ miles of trails for hiking, walking, or mountain biking, a fully ADA-accessible walking trail/track section, wildlife observation areas, birding blinds and overlooks, interpretive and environmental education trails and components, picnic shelters, Access Road system, Parking Areas, ADA-accessible Restrooms, Storm Water Management Elements including BMP pond with environmental Education Components, Flat River Riparian Buffer and Shoreline Enhancement/Repair along park boundaries. 1 Provide all labor, material, and completion of permits for new construction of the Public Restrooms to be located at the Rotary Club of Roxboro Centennial Park. 3.2 Restroom will be constructed with combination (6) six toilets and/or urinal fixtures based on code requirement determined by the Person County Building Inspections Department and ADA (Americans with Disability Act) Code Requirements. 3.3 A sample restroom specification is attached as a reference of expected similar design. The attached sample only show 4 toilets and/or urinal fixtures. It is the contractor's responsibility to design and construct a similar facility with the required combination of (6) toilets and/or urinal fixtures based on ADA code requirements. 3.4 Attached is the general vicinity map where the restroom facility is to be constructed. 3.5 Contractor is required to abide by the safety protocol and procedure specified by the Person County Safety Officer during the implementation of this project.
