Houston Gateway Academy is soliciting Competitive Sealed Proposals (CSP) for new construction of an open steel frame canopy. Questions must be submitted electronically by March 5, 2025 at 5:00 PM CST to:garibaldis@hgaschools.org Codes, Regulations and Permitting • All work shall be designed and installed in accordance with all applicable codes and standards. Owner will be responsible for obtaining the building permit. Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining individual trade permits. PROPOSERS PRESENTATION Each Proposer by making a Proposal represents that: 1. Firm has read and understands the Proposal Documents and the Proposal is made in accordance therewith. 2. Firm has visited the site, has become familiarized with the local conditions under which the work is to be performed and has correlated observations with the requirements of the proposed Contract Documents. 3. Firm agrees to comply with the requirements of this RFP. These requirements are absolute, and any Contractor who subsequently does not agree to comply with these requirements will automatically be disqualified from proposing or receiving award of the contract. 4. Firm agreesthat: A. Work on the project will begin immediately upon receipt of Notice to Proceed. B. Owner has the right to have up to two Houston Gateway Academy Inc. representatives onsite to observe, discuss and document all work being performed with contractor. C. Contractor shall carry and keep in full force for the duration of the Project, insurance coverage workmen's compensation, comprehensive general liability, and automobile liability. D. Proposer shall perform background checks on its employees, and require the same of its subcontractors, and ensure that person convicted of a felony is not allowed access to the Project while students are present.
