Scope of Work of the Contract includes the following: construction of approximately 5,520 linear feet of 66-inch and 464 linear feet of 12-inch diameter water lines by combination of open cut and tunneling methods with all necessary valves and appurtenances, from West Harris County Regional Water Authority (WHCRWA or Authority) Contract KM-4 to WHCRWA Contract KM-6 and WHCRWA Contract KM-7. The proposed water line installation will consist of primarily open-cut construction; however, trenchless methods are required at crossings of Harris County roads, Harris County Flood Control District (HCFCD) drainage systems, and some private pipelines. Additionally, this work necessitates removal and replacement of the Callegari Park parking lot as well as sidewalks, landscaping, and irrigation system within Callegari Park. Work also includes cathodic protection, traffic control, storm water pollution prevention, and site restoration. This project is part of the overall Surface Water Supply Project (SWSP).
