Reference Number 0000375421 Job Location 82497 US 40 Winter Park, Colorado 80482 Estimated Contract Cost: $3,500,000.00 Bid Intent Not Available Qualified contractors are invited to bid on the construction of a new 5+1-bay Vehicle Storage Facility (VSF), and Sand Shed, 4 tank Magnesium-Chloride Containment Structure (with roof), and concrete pad for future Bulk Fuel Tank. The project is located at an existing CDOT Maintenance yard south of the town of Winter Park on US Hwy 40. The new VSF shall be a 6,000 gross square foot pre-engineered metal building (PEMB). The VSF will contain an administration area and five 20'-0" x 50'-0" bays used to store CDOT plow trucks, two of which shall be wash bays with waterproofed finishes and fixtures. The flooring shall be concrete slab-on-grade with a 20-foot concrete apron at the overhead doors. The Sand Shed is a 50'-0"x80'-0" pre engineered metal building used to store sand, this building will have a shed roof contiguous to the mag chloride roof. The sand shed will also have a 20'-0" concrete apron at the overhead door side. The project will include a 60'-0" x 20'-0" Magnesium Chloride containment structure with a roof. This structure will hold four storage tanks, and include a metal stair, lighting and power. The project also includes a 14'-0"x34'-0" concrete slab for the bulk fuel tank, the GC's scope for the bulk fuel tank slab is to include the concrete slab, a light pole, power and conduit for low voltage needs. The existing buildings on site will be demolished by a CDOT demolition contractor. The demolition will start once winter conditions are behind us, anticipated to be complete in April 2025 after which the general contractor will be issued a Notice to Proceed anticipated in May 2025. The entire project is to be completed in 360 calendar days total, however this may be broken into separate mobilizations at the discretion of the general contractor. The general contractor is required to complete the Sand Shed, Magnesium chloride and Fuel Island before November 1, 2025. CDOT will issue a Notice of Partial Substantial Completion after the completion of these items. From November 2025 - April 2026 CDOT will require access to the Sand Shed, MagCl and Fuel Island at all times; limiting site access for the general contractor. CDOT will pause the contract time and ask the general contractor to remobilize in April 2026, unless the general contractor opts to continue working without limiting CDOT access during the winter. Existing utilities will be shut off and capped by the CDOT's demolition contractor and the utility companies, including the LP gas and tank, the electrical service, the water service from the well and the septic system. The septic system will be completely demolished and make way for a new system. The General contractor is responsible for the temporary power during
