Landscape Maintenance Columbus & Doherty Parks. Furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary for general landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, mulch, edging, weed removal, IPM treatments, aerating, over seeding, irrigation monitoring and repair at Christopher Columbus Park (110 Atlantic Avenue, Boston 02110) and Doherty Park (439 Bunker Hill Street, Charlestown 02129). All Bids for this project are subject to all applicable provisions of law and in accordance with the terms and provisions of the contract documents entitled: Landscape Maintenance Columbus & Doherty Parks. A performance bond of a surety company qualified to do business under the laws of the Commonwealth and satisfactory to the Commissioner and in the sum of 100 percent of the contract price, as well as certain public liability and property damage insurance, will be required of the successful general contractor. The contract term will be for one year with two one-year options to renew at the sole discretion of the Parks and Recreation Department. If exercised, the option for year two and year three shall be at the same price and subject to the same contract provisions as year one. The successful bidder will be required to provide by insurance for the payment of compensation and the furnishing of other benefits under the Workmen's Compensation Law, General Laws (Ter.Ed.), chapter 152, to all persons to be employed under the contract, and sufficient proof of compliance with the foregoing stipulation will be required before commencing performance of this contract.
