River Trails Park District will be receiving sealed bids for Willow Basketball Court Resurfacing 2025. The scope of this project is removal and replacement of the basketball goals, removal and replacement of the existing asphalt pavement, and the application of a color coat system with line striping as identified in the document. The Park District shall in all cases determine the amount or quantity of the several kinds of Work which are to be paid for under this Contract and shall decide all questions which may arise relative to the execution of the Contract on the part of the Contractor, and all estimates and decisions shall be final and conclusive. The Park District shall have the right to make alterations in the lines, grades, plans, forms, or dimensions of the Work herein contemplated either before or after the commencement of the Work. If such alterations diminish the quantity of the Work to be done, they shall not constitute a claim for damage or for anticipated profits on the work dispensed with, or if they increase the amount of Work, such increase shall be paid according to the quantity actually done and at the price or prices stipulated for such Work in the Contract. Project Location: Willow Trails Park- 1 Apple Drive Prospect Heights, IL 60070 Scope of Work: The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment required to perform the resurfacing of the basketball court as outlined below. The work includes removal and replacement of the basketball goals, removal and replacement of the existing asphalt pavement, and the application of a color coat system with line striping. 1. Remove and Replace Basketball Goals o Remove 6 existing basketball goals. o Install 6 new basketball goals with appropriate hardware. o Product Specification: Bison BR52 Heavy Duty Finished Aluminum Fan Gooseneck Playground System, 4.5" to be purchased and delivered by River Trails Park District o Ensure all installations meet standard regulations for basketball goals. 2. Remove and Replace Asphalt Pavement o Remove and dispose of the existing asphalt pavement, including the full surface and any necessary subbase material. o Install 2 inches of binder asphalt layer. o Install 1.5 inches of surface asphalt layer on top of the binder. o Add necessary stone materials to the sub-base and base layers to ensure proper drainage and long-term durability. 3. Apply Color Coat System and Line Striping o Apply a professional-grade, durable color coat system to the entire basketball court surface. o Ensure the color coat provides a non-slip, weather-resistant finish. o Lay out and apply court lines for both basketball and additional markings, including free-throw lines, three-point lines, key areas, and boundary lines.
