St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton (SJHH) is seeking a qualified contractor to provide all labour, materials, equipment, and services that are necessary to fulfil the requirements of equipment modernization and preventive maintenance as outlined in this RFT with respect to Elevator No 19, 20, 21 and 22, located at 50 Charlton Avenue East in Hamilton, Ontario. The purpose of the Contract is to replace the existing equipment and to ensure that the new equipment is maintained during the included maintenance period in substantially new condition to provide trouble-free service, prolong the life of the equipment, and secure SJHH's equity. Subject to St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton's reserved rights and privileges set out in this RFT, the Contract shall be awarded to the bidder that submitted the compliant Bid with the lowest Procurement Value. Bidders eligible to submit Bids for this Request for Tender have been previously selected through the process of Request for Supplier Qualifications 12-2425-RFSQ. Only those pre-qualified firms from 12-2425-RFSQ shall be eligible to submit Bids for this Request for Tender. All responses to this Request for Tender shall be submitted in English. The pre-qualified General Contractors are: o Alcor Elevator Ltd. o Brock Elevator Ltd. o Delta Elevator Company Ltd. o Kone Inc. Bid security: 10% of the Procurement Value Performance and/or Labour and Material Payment Security Successful Bidder to provide: Performance security (Electronic bond, bond, irrevocable letter of credit, bank draft or certified cheque accepted): 100% of the Total Contract Price. Successful Bidder to provide: Labour and Material Payment security (Electronic bond, bond only accepted): 50% of the Total Contract Price. In accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code, Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2001 (ODA) and Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA), St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton will accommodate for a disability, ensuring full and equitable participation throughout the bid process. If a bidder requires this Request for Tender in a different format to accommodate a disability, the bidder must contact the RFT Coordinator as soon as possible and in any event prior to the closing date. This Request for Tender in the different format will be issued only to the requesting bidder and all Addenda will be issued in such different format only to the requesting bidder.
