The Work is located at the Hominy Creek Water Reclamation Facility, Wilson, NC. The Work consists of the following: o Removal of two (2) existing heat exchangers, four (4) secondary hot water pumps and four (4) temperature control valves. o Removal with intent for reuse of hot water piping, digested sludge piping, secondary hot water pump local control stations, and associated electrical and SCADA systems. o Installation of two (2) new heat exchangers, four (4) associated secondary hot water pumps and four (4) associated temperature control valves. The Work is located at the following Site: 1. Hominy Creek Water Reclamation Facility at 3100 Stantonsburg Rd SE, Wilson, NC 27893 No Bid shall be considered or accepted by the Purchasing Manager unless at the time of its filing the submittal shall be accompanied by a deposit with the City of Wilson, North Carolina of cash, or a cashier's check or a certified check drawn on a bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, in an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the Proposal. In lieu of making the deposit as above provided, such Bidder may file a Bid Bond executed by a corporate surety licensed under the laws of North Carolina to execute such bonds; conditioned that the surety will upon demand forthwith make payment to the Wilson, North Carolina upon said Bond if the Bidder fails to execute the Contract in accordance with the Bid Bond. If upon acceptance of his Bid, a Bidder fails to enter into a Contract with the City of Wilson, North Carolina, the Bid deposit shall be forfeited to and become the property of the City of Wilson, North Carolina. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within 60 days after the date of Bid opening. A separate performance bond and payment bond each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price will be required. Carriers must be authorized to do business in North Carolina The Owner reserves the right to reject any Proposal for failure to comply with all requirements of this Notice or of any of the Contract Documents; however, it may waive any minor defects or informalities at its discretion.
