47PF0025R0015, EQ5P1SEA-25-0004 The General Services Administration (GSA) is issuing a sources sought notice for a design build project to upgrade the fire alarm system at the Carl B. Stokes U.S. Courthouse, 801 W. Superior Ave., Cleveland, OH. GSA seeks to determine the interest, availability, and capability of Small, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, 8(a), HUBZone, and Woman Owned Small Business concerns. The NAICS code for this procurement is 238210. The estimated design build cost is between $10,000,000 and $20,000,000. The current fire alarm system was installed in 2001 and has exceeded its useful life. The main fire alarm control panel will be replaced and other components throughout the building will be repaired or replaced. Some of the smoke detectors need to be relocated to ensure correct separation distance from HVAC equipment. There are also pressurization issues in the stairwells and library atrium that may inhibit egress in some areas. This project will be designed to conform to applicable GSA Public Buildings Service Core Buildings Standards. GSA encourages cost effective design opportunities to increase energy and water efficiency above the minimum performance criteria. The awardee will be required to undergo the HSPD security clearance process. The full extent of the work will be described in the solicitation when it is posted.
