The scope of the work includes: o Selective replacement of slate roofing, sheet metal gutters and flashings o Selective rebuilding of brick masonry and limestone trim o Treatment of corroded embedded structural steel components, including coating and the installation of cathodic protection. o Cutting and pointing of exterior masonry. Selective roof repairs (Filed Sub-bid for Roofing) including replacement of slate, sheet metal flashings, gutters, ridge caps and associated sheet metal assemblies. 3. Replacement of existing low-sloped ballasted membrane roof and associated flashings with new PVC membrane roof, insulation, and flashing in areas indicated. 4. Replacement of exterior joint sealants in pre-cast cladding panels at existing connector structure of old high school to addition. 5. Disassembly and relocation of existing aluminum windows within connector structure of old high school to addition. Work must be complete by November 1, 2025. General bids and sub-bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (considering all alternates) and made payable to the Fairhaven School Committee The School Committee for the Fairhaven Public Schools, Fairhaven, Massachusetts, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from General Contractors for the masonry and roofing restoration of select gables at the Fairhaven High School, located at 12 Huttleston Avenue in Fairhaven, MA, in accordance with the documents prepared by architects the Spencer Preservation Group Additional sets may be purchased for $75. Bidders requesting Contract Documents to be mailed to them shall include a separate check for $40.00 per set for UPS Ground (or $65.00 per set for UPS overnight), to cover mail handling costs. A performance bond in an amount equal to 100 percent of the total amount of the bid with a surety company qualified to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts will be required for the faithful performance of the contract as well as a labor and materials bond in an amount equal to 100 percent of the total bid amount. The contract will be awarded to the bidder deemed by the awarding authority to be the lowest responsible and eligible bidder.
