This contract includes tree planting implementation within the Thompson Rivers Forest District in the spring of 2025. The planting contract for implementation is PL26DTR001 and is funded under by the Forest Investment Program (FIP). The PL26DTR001 contract requires spring planting of approximately 995,000 seedlings across 553 hectares within the Tremont Wildfire including danger tree assessments. Background Reforestation of areas that have been destroyed by catastrophic wildfires to help mitigate the mid term timber supply impacts, sequester carbon by establishing trees, and restoring habitat and ecosystem function sooner than would happen naturally Scope Tree planting implementation across 10 units under PL26DTR001 within the Tremont Wildfire area as part of the Thompson Rivers Natural Resource District. Please refer to the Appendix I for the 2025 Tree Planting schedules and contract documents pertinent to this agreement. Works will include: quality inspections and stocking surveys; Plant Wizard data collection; RESULTS data entry; pre-work conference meetings. PL26DTR001 Forest Investment Program (FIP) funded contract for spring planting of approximately 995,000 seedlings across 553 hectares and 10 units within the Tremont Wildfire. Danger tree assessments and possible felling of snags is required for each block. Some units require underplanting of standing burnt timber, while others are within burnt or partially burnt plantations. The objective of this contract is to implement the District's 2025 FIP reforestation tree planting program by conducting quality assurance assessments, payment certificates, reporting into RESULTS and monitoring of stock allocation, tree handling, delivery, and storage.
