The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of installation of water mains in the City of Winnipeg. The major components of the Work are as follows: (a) Installation of approximately 860m of 150mm and 200mm diameter PVC water main pipe by trenchless method; (b) Abandonment of existing water mains as required; (c) Water main repairs of various sizes at 6 locations; (d) Abandonment of an additional 1850m of cast iron water main including interconnections, gate valves and hydrants; (e) Removal/abandonment of existing hydrant assemblies and gate valves as required; (f) Installation of valves and hydrant assemblies; (g) Reconnection or renewal of water service connections; (h) Restoration of pavement and boulevard areas. The Bidder shall include in their Bid Submission bid security in the form of a digital bid bond, in the amount of at least ten percent (10%) of the Total Bid Price A Performance Bond of a Company Registered to Conduct the Business of a Surety in Manitoba, Form H1 Performance Bond, in the Amount of Fifty Percent (50%) of the Contract Price; and A Labour and Material Payment Bond of a Company Registered to Conduct the Business of a Surety in Manitoba, Form H2 Labour and Material Bond, in an Amount Equal to Fifty Percent (50%) of the Contract Price. Commercial General Liability Insurance, in the Amount of at Least Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000.00) Inclusive, With the City of Winnipeg Added as an Additional Insured, With a Cross-liability Clause, Such Liability Policy to Also Contain Contractual Liability, Unlicensed Motor Vehicle Liability, Non-owned Automobile Liability, Broad Form Property Damage Cover and Products and Completed Operations, to Remain in Place at All Times During the Performance of the Work and Throughout the Warranty Period.
