Pile Driving Installation for County Bridge 270 (B-25-11) The Scope of Work includes, but is not limited to: A. Procure, fabricate and install templates to aid in layout of steel H-pile. B. Drive twelve (12) HP12x63 A572 Grade 50 abutment piles to a minimum embedment depth of thirtyeight feet (38) on both abutments or further as ordered by the County Engineer should the required load capacity not be achieved as shown on the contract plans. The contractor shall furnish the piles with pile shoes attached to each pile. Splices will not be allowed due to the short estimated length. The contractor shall cut each pile to the cut-off elevation shown on the plans. Dynamic pile testing shall be performed on one (1) H-pile in each abutment to determine load capacity and driving criteria. C. The unit bid price for this work shall include the cost of all labor, materials and equipment necessary to complete this work, including piles and shoes, driving equipment, dismantle and removal of pile driving equipment upon completion. D. All bidders are recommended to inspect the project sites prior to bidding to become acquainted with the locations and conditions under which the work will be accomplished. (See Location Map). E. Sullivan County shall provide Dynamic Pile Testing by an independent consultant. F. Sullivan County shall provide Survey Layout and Control for each location an H-pile shall be driven by the Contractor. G. Sullivan County shall obtain all NYSDEC permits and provide erosion control measures. H. Sullivan County shall excavate to the bottom of the proposed concrete stem at each site. I. Sullivan County shall coordinate relocation of overhead utilities.
