*As of March 31, 2025, project contract has been awarded. Construction work is scheduled to start in April 2025 and is expected to be completed in September 2025. Contract # 204 - Plumbing Project scope includes but is not limited to the following work at existing elementary school: New playground, site, and paving improvements, Classroom ceiling and lighting replacements, Corridor renovations, Auditorium improvements, Security upgrades, Door and hardware replacement, Fire alarm upgrades, Public address system upgrades, New generator and Masonry renovations. CONTRACT TYPE This project will proceed under five (5) Lump Sum Prime Contracts including: Contract # 201 - Site Work Contract # 202 - General Trades / General Construction Work Contract # 203 - Mechanical (HVAC) Contract # 204 - Plumbing Contract # 205 - Electrical PROJECT DESCRIPTION District wide renovations for the Kendall Central Schools included in the project are the Elementary School, Middle/High School, Transportation Building, and Building and Grounds. CONTRACT TIME The date of commencement of the Work shall be within five (5) calendar days of the date of Notice to Proceed. Coordinate schedule with Owner/CM. The Contractor shall achieve Substantial Completion of the entire Work, refer to project schedule. REJECTION AND ACCEPTANCE OF BIDS The OWNER hereby reserves the right to waive any informality and reject any or all bids or to accept the one that, in its judgment, will be in the best interest of the OWNER. BID SECURITY A Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid must accompany the bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. NONCOLLUSIVE BIDDING CERTIFICATE A non-collusive bidding certificate shall be included on each bid. PREVAILING WAGE RATES This is a prevailing wage rate job.
