NAVFAC ACQR No.: 6057089 Upgrade Substation C and Cable Replacement - Substation "C" was constructed in 1993 as a 15kV and 2.4kV electrical power distribution facility containing pad-mounted equipment and underground medium voltage cable systems. In 2020, the 4-way medium voltage switch at Substation C failed. The facility was reenergized after a temporary medium voltage switch was installed. Upon further inspection, other Substation "C" medium voltage equipment and related cable terminations were discovered to be in varying states of degradation and must be replaced. The facility is located within a fenced compound in the southeast parking lot area of the Clubs of Quantico, Building 3017. Under this project, the following shall be demolished: At substation "C": 15kV, 2.4kV switchgear, 4-way medium voltage switch, and 1500 kVA transformer and all associated accessories to include but not limited to cables, conduit, concrete pad and grounding. Demolish overhead distribution feeders from H436-1 to pole H463-5 and demolish cable from existing transformer to main distribution panel in building 3229. Estimated Budget Amount or Price Range: In accordance with FAR 36.204 Disclosure of the Magnitude of Construction Projects; the estimated price range for this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
