As part of service line replacement, Denver Water digs trenches which can impact large trees, customer's porches, walls, and various building structures. Utilizing directional drilling services minimizes damage to customer property and reduces job completion time. Location and distance of directional drilling services will vary from site to site. In 2024, Denver Water utilized directional drilling services approximately 330 times, with varying bore lengths, with an average bore distance of 70'. The services include planned scheduled work, unplanned scheduled work, and emergency work, with required availability of 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.
