City of Volga, South Dakota, will receive sealed competitive bids for the furnishing of all labor, materials and equipment for the following street improvements: Approximately 45,000 sq. yds., more or less of seal coating, MC3000 @.30 gal./ sq.yd. and 3/8 in. Peerock @ 30-35 lbs./sq.yd. Approximately 26,000 linear feet more or less of Asphalt Crack Sealing and work shall be performed following SD DOT specifications for asphalt crack sealing. The work shall consist of routing random cracks 3/4 " X 3/4 ", blown clean with 125psi high pressure air, and sealing with state approved sealant. The sealant shall conform to the requirements of ASTM D 3405 and Section 350 of the Standard Specifications. All bids must be accompanied either by a certified check, cashier's check or draft payable to the City of Volga in an amount of five percent (5%) of the total sum of the bid issued by a state or national bank located within the State of South Dakota or a 10% bid bond issued by a surety authorized to do business in the State of South Dakota. The location of the proposed construction work is to be determined. Upon awarded bid contractor must provide a payment and performance bond and a certificate of insurance listing the City of Volga as an additional insured within 10 days. The work is to be completed by August 4, 2025. The City of Volga reserves the right to waive irregularities and reject any and all bids.
