Marion County Public Schools CCC High School Wharton-Smith, Inc. is the Construction Manager proudly serving Marion County Public Schools and is soliciting proposals from prequalified subcontractors for the construction of the CCC High School. This is a greenfield project for a new 356,275 SF high school consisting of Bldg. 1 Classroom/Admin, Bldg. 2 Gym Cafeteria/Kitchen, Bldg. 3 Theater/Music/Arts, Bldg. 4 CEP and 6 additional ancillary sports field bldgs. The work includes: earthwork, paving, track and play courts, irrigation, landscaping, fencing, concrete, masonry, structural steel joists & deck (in the ancillary sports field buildings only), misc. structural steel item such as railings & metal stairs, roofing, sealants, fireproofing, doors, frames & hardware, overhead doors, windows, storefront, gypsum wallboard assemblies, acoustical ceilings, wood flooring, resilient and tile flooring, hard tile, carpeting, acoustic panels, painting, signage, visual display & marker boards, operable partitions, toilet compartments & accessories, lockers, aluminum walkway covers, flagpoles, media center specialties, food service specialties, athletic equipment, theater & stage equipment, modular & laboratory casework, media center & music casework, fixed auditorium seating, telescoping stands, grandstands, and elevators. The plumbing, HVAC and electrical are for buildings 5 through 11 and site & sports lighting only. The concrete scope for this package is to include Building 5-11, Courtyard and entire site hardscape. The roofing scope for this package is to include ALL roofing for ALL buildings. This bid package #5 is for the interiors of all buildings on campus and athletic ball fields and Please note the following Bid Packages have been bid and released and shall be excluded from this scope: Bid Package #2: Building Foundations/underground utilities Bid Package #3: HVAC and Electrical Long Lead Equipment (chillers, cooling tower, pumps, switchgear & generator/fuel tank) Bid Package #4: Building 1 through #4 Shell: including concrete shell, structural steel, exterior doors, and windows. Bid Package #5A Building 1 through #4 Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Sprinkler Construction for this phase is tentatively scheduled to start in April 2025 and finishing in July 2026.
