Site work for a mixed-use development in Conway, South Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a fitness / recreation center; and swimming pool.

The City of Conway is accepting sealed proposals from qualified contractors to make renovations to the commercial indoor pool located at the Conway Sports & Fitness Center. This will include, but not limited to, re-plastering and tile replacements. Question Deadline 02/18/2025 Submit written questions to Amanda Hooper at: Fax # (843)397-2883, e-mail procurement@conwaysc.gov Start date of project must be April 3, 2025 and completed by May 1, 2025. o Main pool will be drained entirely. o Prior to the pool drained, a SCUBA diver must inspect the main drains to ensure that the sumps are intact and there is a hydrostatic valve. o Existing plaster will be chipped away from all main drains, gutters, return fittings, lights and any other penetrations. Any loose plaster or hollow spots will be removed. o Any delaminating plaster will be removed from the pool shell. o The entire pool surface will acid washed, neutralized and cleaned. o Waterline tiles will be replaced with 6 x 6 Frost Proof Tile. Colors and style selections TO BE DETERMINED. The tile area replaced will be the partition in between the main pool and zero entry. o Racing lanes and targets will be replaced. o The pool will be inspected for any structural concerns. If concerns are found, the main contact Karen Johnson will be notified immediately. o Bond / Scratch coat of plaster will be applied to entire surface of the pool shell to provide proper adhesion of plaster. o A QUARTZ surface will be applied to the entire pool shell. The total depth will be approximately 1/2 " finished surface color TO BE DETERMINED. Must meet requirements of SC DHEC and R61.51. o New 2"x2" black or blue tile will be added at step and depth transitions according to SC Code. o New VGB Main Drains Installed. o Pool surface will be lightly acid washed prior to refilling. o The pool will be re-filled and chemically balanced. Pool must be brushed no less than fifteen (15) times prior to vacuuming. o All chemicals needed to re-balance pool water chemistry must be included in your bid submission. o All trash generated by the project will be the contractor's responsibility and shall be removed from the work site. o Provide an estimated timeline for completing the project, including key milestones and any factors that could affect the schedule. o Provide detailed information on Plaster Warranty.
