Board of Education, Beach Park School District 3, Beach Park, Lake County, Illinois, hereinafter known as Owner, is seeking bids for the D3 Mechanical Improvements at Beach Park Middle School project, located in Beach Park, Illinois. PROJECT DESCRIPTION A. The Project consists of the following general activities as described in the Construction Documents and Project Manual for the D3 Mechanical Improvements at Beach Park Middle School project, located in Beach Park, Illinois for Beach Park School District 3. B. The work of the Project shall include all labor, material, and equipment to provide complete installation of all work including all code required devices and functions that may notspecifically be indicated in this Project Manual. 1. The work includes (not to be taken as a complete description or extent of the work) as follows: a. Demolition of existing RTU's, including related roofing work. b. Duct modifications within the locker rooms to de-couple locker room zone from RTU-7. c. Install pre-purchased RTU-9 to serve locker rooms. Modify existing ductwork as indicated on floor plans. d. Install pre-purchased RTU-3 and RTU-7 and associated pre-purchased curb/curb adapter. Modify/extend existing control, power, and gas lines as required to accommodate installation of new units. e. Clean and paint new & existing gas piping located on roof. f. Replace existing secondary pumps' motors, HWP-1 & HWP-2. g. Provide and install new variable frequency drives for HWP-1&HWP-2. h. Demolition of existing hot water system's bypass piping. i. Boiler repair work including replacement of existing combustion chambers and replacement of existing burners. Contractor shall also provide a report on the condition of existing boiler tubes -and replace - if necessary, via allowance - upon inspection of combustion chamber work. j. Structural reinforcement
