The Athens Housing Authority (AHA) is seeking written proposals from licensed Construction Contractors to provide Construction of two (2) single family houses. Partial funding is made available through the Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) Home Investment Partnership Program (HOME) with Athens-Clarke County Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) and the Athens Housing Authority's ACT I Homes Program Abid guarantee of either a Certified Check payable to Athens Housing Authority, or a Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety on the Bid Bond form in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond(s) in the amount of 100% of the Contract Amount. Bids shall not be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding. All work will be pursuant to current applicable HUD, state and local standards. All bidders shall be required to comply with the equal employment and Section 3 requirements of the Federal Government. The Athens Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and/or to waive any informalities. It is the AHA's intent to enter into Contract to construct two (2) single family houses with the successful bidder. The Project Manuals and Drawings can be obtained via email.
