Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Council, Idaho. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
Existing Bridge is located in southwestern Adams County and carries Wildhorse Rd (gravel) over Wildhorse River. This proposal is for the contractor to partially remove the existing single span bridge and replace with a single span pre-manufactured steel bridge with cast-in place concrete abutments. The existing road and bridge will remain open during construction as a shoofly or detour is not feasible. Additional work includes dismantling the existing truss bridge in sections and delivery to project partners. Existing concrete abutments beneath the ordinary high-water mark (OHWM) will be left in place.
