Renovation of an educational facility in New Lebanon, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Chiller Replacement Project at Dixie Elementary School The facility is located at 1150 W. Main St., New Lebanon, OH. The New Lebanon Local School District is accepting fixed bids for the chiller unit, materials, and labor to install the new chiller. The district plans on having the project completed during the fall of 2025 if manufacturing lead time allows for completion at that time. It will be the responsibility of the bidder to familiarize themselves with the facility and any or all abnormalities that may be present. Care shall be taken to prevent any damage to existing facilities and to ensure prompt completion to allow usage as needed. The bidder may also need to schedule around facility use schedules during the school year. The selected company shall provide proof of insurance with liability coverage at a minimum of $1,000,000 and also proof of current workmen's compensation coverage for all employees, and contract labor, that may be on site. The facility is an elementary school that uses the chilled water system for building cooling. The current chiller concrete support pad is 8'6" wide x 21' long. The chiller is a two-stage with a cooling capacity of 140 tons. The chiller replacement unit must match or exceed the current cooling capacity as well as be compatible with existing equipment and space. Suggestions for enhancing the performance, extending the life expectancy of the system or general cost savings are expected. The district is an entity operating under the Ohio Revised Code as a governmental unit and as such is exempt from all state and local taxes. The successful bidder shall be issued a purchase order for the full amount of the bid and no changes to the amount will be allowed once agreed. Payment shall be made in full within 30 days following completion of the project and receipt of an invoice from the vendor. A performance bond will not be required of the successful bidder unless the bidder requires a deposit of funds prior to the completion of the project. Questions are to be addressed to Mr. Lance Hoop, Maintenance Director, via email at lhoop@newlebanonschools.org to provide all with documentation of responses.
