The Intent of this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is for the County of Loudoun, Virginia (County) to obtain the services of a qualified General Contractor to construct the Route 9 and Route 287 Roundabout. The Route 9 and Route 287 Roundabout is a County funded project consisting of: The conversion of the existing signalized intersection of Charles Town Pike (Route 9) and Berlin Turnpike (Route 287) into a single-lane roundabout to significantly reduce existing traffic congestion, improve safety, and provide a long-term, cost-effective solution for future roadway operation and maintenance. Roadway approaches on Route 9 and Route 287 will be realigned and widened as needed to facilitate roundabout operations.
