Location and Description. A Job Order Contract is an indefinite quantity contract pursuant to which the Contractor may perform an ongoing series of individual Projects at different locations throughout the District. The bid documents include a Construction Task Catalog containing construction tasks with preset Unit Prices. All Unit Prices are based on local labor, material and equipment prices and are for the direct cost of construction. Location Point Molate, Richmond, CA The Contractor will bid two Adjustment Factors to be applied to the Unit Prices. One Adjustment Factor is for performing work during Normal Working Hours, a second Adjustment Factor is for performing work during Other Than Normal Working Hours. The same two Adjustment Factors shall apply to every Pre-priced Task in the Construction Task Catalog . Term: The Term of the Contract is one year from first NTP or 15 months after award date, whichever occurs first. All Job Orders issued during the term of this Contract shall be valid and in effect notwithstanding that the Detailed Scope of Work may be performed, associated Supplemental Job Orders may be issued, payments may be made, and the guarantee period may continue, after such period has expired. All terms and conditions of the Contract apply to each Job Order. Bid Security. Each bidder must submit with their bid, a bid security in the amount of twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000), in the form of a cashier's or certified check made payable to District, or a bid bond executed by a surety licensed to do business in the State of California on the Bid Bond form included with the Contract Documents, in the manner set forth in Section 4 of the Instructions to Bidders. The bid security must guarantee that within ten days after District issues the Notice of Award, the successful bidder will execute the Contract and submit the payment and performance bonds, insurance certificates and endorsements, valid Certificates of Reported Compliance as required under the California Air Resources Board's In-Use Off-Road Diesel-Fueled Fleets Regulation (13 CCR 2449 et seq.) ("Off-Road Regulation"), if applicable, and any other submittals required by the Contract Documents and as specified in the Notice of Award. Performance and Payment Bonds. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the Contract Price, as further specified in the Contract Documents.
