Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Bowmanville, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; water / sewer project; for paving for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The Municipality of Clarington (Municipality) is seeking a qualified company to complete site servicing and earthworks at the new South Bowmanville Recreation Centre, in accordance with the terms, conditions and specifications contained herein. The scope of work for this Contract includes: - Earthworks to prepare the site to the identified pre-grade elevations including cut/fill operations, stockpiling of materials, transitional sloping, etc. - Site dewatering as required to facilitate earthworks operations - Installation of new storm sewer and appurtenances - Installation of road cross culvert and headwalls - Installation of new sanitary sewer and appurtenances - Local watermain abandonment including removal and replacement of service connections - Installation of new watermain and appurtenances - Partial removal and restoration of Green Road and Baseline Road to accommodate servicing extensions / connections. - Decommissioning and removal of existing facility entrance and roadway - Subdrain installation - Preparation of road subgrade - Associated erosion protection / control, and tree protection This project is broken down into 2 stages. Stage 1 includes the hiring of a contractor to begin site servicing and earthworks. Stage 2 includes completion of earthworks and all remaining components including building, air-supported dome, road, parking lot, refrigerated ice trail and applicable landscaping. Stage 1: a) Site Servicing and Earth Works Tender: February 10, 2025 b) Tender Award: March 2025 c) Contract finalized; Purchase Order issued: April 2025 Stage 2: It is the intention of the Municipality to transfer the contract to the General Contractor in Stage 2. a) RFP for General Contractor: February 14, 2025 b) Construction Award: June 2025 c) Substantial Completion/Ready for takeover: June 30, 2026 Project Completion - July 31, 2026
